As a general rule,  I’d like to see just about every guy who wants to get his girlfriend back actually get to see that happen.  On the other hand,  I have seen so many situations where a guy is just totally hung up on his ex girlfriend and she really isn’t any good for him at all.  When that happens,  I’d much rather see a guy move on and find a new girlfriend.

In a perfect world,  we would all get the woman we wanted when we wanted her,  and she would totally reciprocate the feelings that we have for her.  Well, we all know that this is an imperfect world,  right?  So,  there are many times when you can do all of the “right” things and expect to end up back with your ex girlfriend and it just does not happen.

At that point,  you have to be able to find a way to get over her and move on to the next woman.  You have to actually look forward to moving on to the next girlfriend.

Here are 3 tips that you can use to get a new girlfriend AFTER the break up:

1)  Don’t use your ex girlfriend as a sob story ploy for sympathy.

It’s going to be tempting to bring up the ex girl with the new one,  but don’t do it.  A brief,  and I mean brief mention of her is okay but anymore than that…is not a good thing.  You’d be surprised at quickly genuine sympathy can change to disgust in a woman’s eyes when she sees a guy who just won’t let go of the past.  To really AMPLIFY your chances with the next girlfriend,  keep the ex girlfriend where she belongs… in the past.

2)  Give yourself time to grieve the end of the last relationship by not getting too attached to the next woman.

This is a pattern that most men wind up creating for themselves.  They break up with a woman that they are totally in love with,  then the next girl comes along and guess what?  They fall in love with her in what seems like an instant.  Next thing you know,  they are attached to her and can’t be separated for nothing in the world.  You DO NOT want to be that guy.  Give yourself time to get whatever residual feelings and emotions that you have out of your system and play the field for a little bit.  It’s NOT a bad thing at all.

3)  Find out what women REALLY want from a guy,  not what you are TAUGHT they want.

Too many guys get spoon fed this idealized ideal of what women want and it’s not really all that accurate.  Sure, she wants a decent guy,  but she’s not clamoring for the knight in shining armor like you think she is.  Most women nowadays can take care of themselves and they like that.  What they want is a guy that they can share the good times with.  Be THAT guy.
